Ride Details

Welcome to one of the hottest and most exciting bike rides in Houston. This event will have everything for all the family. Cyclists of every experience and ability level are welcome. Riders can choose from 19, 42, 62, 77, or 104 mile routes.

For the other members of the family there will be the 10-mile Family Fun Ride. The bike ride starts at 9 a.m. and takes off from Gulf Greyhound Park and goes to Jack Brooks Park. On your return, you will be welcomed by McDonald's characters: Hamburglar and Grimace as well as Bootsie the Clown, and much more....

The Rides

Countdown with McDonald's characters will begin at 7:45 am and riders will launch at 8 am.

Rider safety is of upmost concern, therefore, per MS Society recommendations, riders will launch by pace group based on your anticipated average ride speed, not by ride distance.

All courses will be clearly marked with color-coded signage for each ride and each route will be patrolled providing mechanical and first aid assistance.

Each rest stop will be clearly marked and have restroom facilities, refreshments, minimal
first aid, and mechanical assistance.

HELMETS MUST BE WORN AND RULES OF THE ROAD MUST BE FOLLOWED
All riders under the age of 18 must cycle with an adult.
All ride support ENDS at 4:30 p.m.

New! 10 Mile Family Fun Ride

There will be a 9:00 AM Family Bike Ride for friends and family of the riders. Come take a leisurely, safe, and fun 10-mile bike ride to Jack Brooks park and back. When you come back there will be fun activities for the kids, parents, and anybody else who would like to come out have fun, and enjoy the 2008 Space Race.

The 10-mile Family Fun Ride is for families with children 12 and under. All children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
